FEWSION is building the first complete empirical description of the U.S. food, energy, and water system so that every citizen and policymaker in the U.S. can see where their food, energy, and water come from. The visualization system is an interactive map that features an on-boarding process to walk you through how to use the system. FEWSION researchers have developed a series of simple and exciting visual scenarios for you to explore and better understand the connections within the U.S. FEW system.
The FEWSION 1.0 dataset is in Beta release and many of its layers are currently undergoing peer review. “Beta” means that you use this system at your own risk, and no warranty or guarantee of accuracy is implied.
This initial release is for general public users. Power user capabilities for researchers are in testing, including the ability to run analytics, switch between data sources, and download CSV files containing the data onscreen. Inquire with the project leadership if you want to be considered for early test user access to these capabilities.
